Description/Extras: Originally built at Holden’s Dandenong plant in November 1977, this Torana started life as an L32 253ci V8 with a Tri-Matic auto and 2.78 Banjo differential, finished in Atlantis Blue with slate black cloth trim. In more recent years, it underwent a restoration and tasteful transformation into a mild custom SS tribute, complete with A9X-style widebody flares and an SS bodykit.
The body now wears a high-quality respray in Gunmetal Grey Metallic, complemented by new chrome bumpers front and rear. Sitting lower over brand new 17-inch OS Formula Hotwire wheels wrapped in fresh tyres, the car exudes classic muscle car presence.
Inside, the cabin has been refurbished in black vinyl trim. Supportive aftermarket front bucket seats replace the originals, while the rear retains the factory bench. A new SS-style steering wheel sits ahead of the driver, and the centre console houses the T-bar shifter. An upgraded stereo system with aftermarket head unit and improved speakers adds modern convenience.
Under the bonnet, a well-presented 308ci Holden V8 delivers power through the Tri-Matic automatic to the factory Banjo differential. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, while the original suspension components have been fully refurbished.
This restored LX Torana Hatch delivers the style and presence of a genuine SS, enhanced with A9X-inspired muscle and modern touches, making it equally appealing for cruising or adding to a collection.
