Eddie Charlton Snooker Pot Black two-times World Record cue In 1967 Australia’s Eddie Charlton set a world record for the largest score without his opponent getting in a shot. He repeated the feat the same year smashing his own record - which still stands today over 50 years later. He was an entertaining and popular figure touring the world as a professional player and appeared frequently on TV. In 1972 and again in 1973 he beat Welsh coal-miner turned professional Ray Readon to win the coveted BBC “Pot Black” popular televised snooker championship.
