Description/extras: 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk1 – Project with Originality & Potential

This 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk1 presents as a highly desirable classic sports car project, offered with key components and strong potential for restoration. Accompanying the vehicle is 1 x key and 2 pallets containing the engine, transmission, and various parts required to rebuild both. The engine and VIN numbers correspond to the factory placard, though they have not been physically sighted.

Cosmetically, the car retains a solid appearance with only minor imperfections consistent with its age. These include a small flaw on the lower right corner of the driver’s door panel, minor paint imperfections on the front bar, a blemish under the driver’s side wheel arch, minor rust in the front bar, and a small paint imperfection on the rear boot lid.

The DB2/4 Mk1, with its distinctive fastback design, was one of Aston Martin’s most celebrated models of the 1950s, combining elegant coachwork with grand touring performance. With its engine and gearbox included for rebuild, this example offers an excellent foundation for restoration to original glory or bespoke specification.

Opportunities to acquire such a rare and iconic Aston Martin project are increasingly scarce – an exciting proposition for the enthusiast or collector ready to return this classic to the road.
