Overview

A 1.51ct princess cut diamond ring in 14K yellow gold with diamond-set shoulders. The princess cut centre measures 5.80 x 5.80mm, providing good face-up coverage for its weight. The H-I colour in a yellow gold six-claw setting faces up well - the warm metal absorbs some body colour and the stone reads near-colourless from a normal viewing distance. The I1 clarity is the dominant characteristic of this stone - multiple dark included crystals (carbon spots) and cloudy zones are clearly visible to the naked eye across the table facets. These inclusions reduce the diamond's brilliance and transparency noticeably compared to a cleaner stone, and this should be factored into any purchasing decision.



Eighteen round brilliant diamonds totalling 0.364 carats line both shoulders of the band in shared-prong settings with rhodium plating. The ring is in good pre-owned condition with minor surface wear to the gold consistent with regular use. The inner shank is stamped "585 D1.51ct D0.364ct" confirming 14-karat gold and stone weights. No individual GIA or laboratory certificate accompanies the centre stone - the grading is from an independent insurance appraisal by a FGAA-qualified appraiser (Karma Gems, April 2025, replacement value AUD $32,700).
