Overview

Seven and a half carats of vivid purple tanzanite in a two-tone setting is a serious statement piece. The oval centre sits in a yellow gold claw setting that brings warmth to the violet-purple body colour, while the surrounding diamond frame and band are executed in white gold and rhodium plate to maximise diamond brightness. The contrast between the two metals frames the tanzanite distinctly, drawing the eye to the colour rather than competing with it. The 228 pave-set round brilliant diamonds (2.88ct TDW) create multiple tiers of sparkle around and down the wide, tapering band. The gallery beneath features ornate scroll filigree work, a thoughtful design detail that adds ventilation, reduces weight, and shows craftsmanship even where it is not typically seen.



From the photos, the ring is in excellent condition with the tanzanite displaying strong purple-violet saturation with blue secondary tones depending on viewing angle. The 585 hallmark is stamped inside the shank alongside "T7.51ct D2.88ct". At 14.36 grams, this is a substantial ring that carries its weight well thanks to the wide band distribution. Standard heat treatment is applied, which is universal for commercial tanzanite.
