Description

A contemporary toi et moi style ring with two oval-cut Australian sapphires in a swept bypass design. Each sapphire is independently claw-set, with the two shank sections crossing elegantly between them and carrying a continuous line of 57 round brilliant diamonds in micro-bead settings along both shoulders. The sapphires display a very deep royal blue - the characteristic colour of Australian origin material, which tends to run darker and more saturated than Sri Lankan or Burmese equivalents. This saturation creates a dramatic, rich appearance though in lower lighting the stones can appear near-black.


At 1.98ct combined, the two sapphires are well-matched in size and colour. The independent valuation notes they have been subjected to standard heat treatment, which is disclosed and is the industry norm for commercial sapphires. The diamond accents are a good quality G-H colour with VS1-VS2 clarity - near-colourless and eye-clean. Total weight is 4.41 grams in 14K white gold. Ring size O suits most average-to-slightly-larger fingers and can be resized. Condition is independently graded excellent.
