Description / Overview:
One of the most collectible shapes in Australian motoring history. This VH Charger R/T in Mercury Silver originated from the well-known "Charger Farm" collection in the Avoca area and has been in dry storage for roughly a decade under current ownership. Body panels are straight, gaps are consistent, and the silver with black R/T stripe package is present and legible across the full length of the car. The compliance plate was photographed and confirms build date January 1972, Paint SA (Mercury Silver), and Trim R1 (black).
The engine bay shows the Hemi six in original configuration with an aftermarket pod filter and general storage grime. Note for buyers: "HEMI 6 PACK" stickers have been applied to the rear quarters but these are aftermarket decals only. The engine is running a single-carburetor setup with no E49-specific triple Weber manifold, high-compression head, or six-pack hardware present. Buyers must treat this as a standard R/T Hemi six with cosmetic additions and verify against the compliance plate codes and engine number before bidding. The compliance plate was visible but not fully decoded in the photo set. The LPG tank in the boot is non-original and will need a current gas certificate for any road registration.
Mechanically the car reportedly moves under its own power. Aftermarket items fitted include a Moroso tachometer column mount, alloy steering wheel, aftermarket stereo, and Jellybean alloy wheels replacing the originals. Active surface rust is noted at the front subframe area and boot lid corners. Seat condition is hidden under covers. No documentation was sighted in the photo set.
