Description / Overview:
The UC Torana SL is the final iteration of the Torana nameplate, and this four-door example is one of the better-preserved and better-documented UC sedans you will find at auction. The 308ci V8 and automatic transmission are a conversion from the factory six-cylinder spec, but the work has been done properly: a Victorian VASS engineering certificate (September 2017, cert C0810004) covers the engine, brakes, suspension, steering and exhaust modifications. All identity plates are matching and present. The VIN is consistent across the compliance plate, VASS modification plate and body stamps.
The exterior is exceptional for a 46-year-old car. White paint has been resprayed to a high standard with consistent gloss and no visible rust on any external panel, arch, sill or door shut. All chrome, badges and trim are present and in strong order. Panel gaps are factory-tight throughout. The interior is the original tan vinyl SL specification, well-preserved with only age-appropriate wear on the driver's seat. An aftermarket steering wheel, tachometer and head unit have been added. The engine bay has been painted white to match, and the underbody shows fresh hardware and painted chassis rails consistent with the quality of the conversion.
The car is on Victorian club permit registration with the permit book present. Sold with two keys and documentation. A turnkey classic for the collector who wants a UC Torana that has been done right.
