Circa 1960s Chrysler Valiant VC Safari Wagon finished in Green. Offered as a project/restoration vehicle. Non-runner. Engine (Slant Six with parts) supplied separately on a pallet. No key.
Description / Overview:
A rare VC Valiant Safari Wagon restoration project with confirmed body VIN (VC3-M-454790 physically verified in photos) and a matching-prefix Slant Six engine on a separate pallet. The VC Safari Wagon is among the rarest of the early Valiant body styles in Australia, and complete examples in any condition are genuinely scarce. This one has been partially stripped and primed as part of a previous restoration attempt.
The body shell is the key asset here and it is structurally sound. Roof, pillars, and cargo section are straight. Rust is contained to typical trouble spots: rear arch seams, A-pillar/sill junction, tailgate header upper corners, and some firewall perforation around lower apertures. Inner guards and front rails look solid after the partial blast and prime work done previously. The wagon-specific rear body structure, D-pillars, and roof are all intact. The Slant Six on the pallet is a complete long block with bellhousing and gearbox attached, carburettor, manifolds, starter motor, and distributor all present but carrying heavy surface rust from long storage and will need a full strip and rebuild assessment.
This is a long-game project suited to a well-resourced Valiant enthusiast with access to VC parts networks. Significant items will need to be sourced including all four doors, all glass, bonnet, tailgate, bumpers and all exterior chrome, complete interior trim, wiring harness, radiator and cooling system, and brake lines. Some loose trim panels and the steering wheel are stored inside the cabin. No compliance plate was sighted in the photo set. No key.
