Description

A bold navette-shaped cocktail ring featuring 20 oval-cut Australian sapphires in a dramatic deep blue to blue-black colouration that is characteristic of the Australian origin. The independent valuation certificate specifically notes nil treatment observed - this is significant because the overwhelming majority of commercial sapphires on the market today are heat-treated to improve colour and clarity. An untreated stone is in its natural post-cutting state and carries a meaningful premium over a treated equivalent, particularly for Australian origin material which has strong domestic collector interest.


The 20 stones are arranged in a navette cluster with claw settings, framed by 16 round brilliant diamonds in F-G colour and VS2 clarity placed at the periphery and cardinal points. The open-back gallery is CAD-designed and hand-finished, allowing light to enter from below and giving the dark sapphires their best opportunity to show their blue flashes. 4.10 grams in 14K white gold. Condition is independently graded excellent.
