Description
This one had a listing mix-up, but the car underneath is genuinely excellent. Every single piece of evidence confirms this is a 1987 Chevrolet Corvette C4, not a 2004 C5 as originally listed. The VIN, the Australian compliance plate, the engine console plaque, the owner's manual, and the iconic pop-up headlights (which the C5 never had) all tell the same story. This is the real deal.
Under the clamshell hood sits the matching-numbers L98 350ci Tuned Port Injection V8, rated at 240 horsepower and 345 ft-lb of torque straight from the factory. The console plaque confirms the figures. The full C4 digital instrument cluster is operational and the pop-up headlights work as they should. The fender badge reads Tuned Port Injection, used exclusively on C4 Corvettes from 1985 to 1991.
Red over red, and both are in great shape. The exterior paint is deep and glossy with no visible damage. The red leather sport seats show minimal wear, carpets are clean, and all trim is intact. A new battery has been fitted and the original 1987 Corvette owner's manual and key fob are included. The original Delco-Bose stereo has been replaced with an aftermarket Kenwood unit.
The car is correctly complied for Australia: Approval No. 8793, complied June 1995 by Crossover Car Conversions, Low Volume No. 11248. Note this is a left-hand drive vehicle. Check LHD registration requirements for your state before bidding. Tyres are Toyo Proxes R888 performance rubber at moderate tread. Pick up only from Thomastown VIC.
