The Alfa Romeo 105-series GTV is one of the genuinely beautiful coupes of the late 1960s and early 70s, and this is a verified 1750 GTV. The factory data plate reads Tipo 10545, which decodes to 1750 GTV. The rear badge reads 1750. The dashboard script reads 1750 GTV. Despite the original listing showing GTV 2.0, this is a 1750, and that has been corrected.
Under the bonnet sits the Alfa Romeo twin-cam inline-4 with twin Weber side-draft carburettors, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine bay is tidy and the chassis stamp AV 1455679 is clearly visible and matches the listed number. The car is right-hand drive, which is exactly what you want in one of these.
Inside, the black vinyl seats are serviceable and intact, the Veglia Borletti instruments are all present and legible, and a Nardi wood-rim steering wheel has been fitted in place of the standard item. It is a period-appropriate choice that suits the car well. There is the typical crack across the top of the instrument binnacle, and the centre console wood veneer shows age wear at the edges, both of which are honest and expected for the year.
Outside, the red paint shows its age with chips on the leading edges and fading on the upper surfaces. More importantly, there is paint cracking and lifting on one rear body panel that is consistent with a previous repair starting to fail. This area must be inspected closely before bidding. These cars are also well known for hiding rust in the floors and sills, so an under-body inspection on a hoist is strongly advised.
