Overview

Sixteen carats of vivid blue tanzanite in a single stone is genuinely rare at any price. This cushion cut measures 16.6 x 13.6mm - a large, prominent stone that anchors an ornate filigree pendant with milgrain borders, scrollwork motifs, and bezel-set diamond accents at the cardinal points. The design draws from Victorian and Edwardian revival aesthetics: the pierced openwork frame, the quatrefoil bail, and the delicate milgrain edging all evoke the era of handmade fine jewellery, though this piece is precision-manufactured via CAD and hand-finished.



The tanzanite presents a vivid blue that shifts between blue-dominant and violet depending on the viewing angle, demonstrating the strong pleochroism that characterises top-grade Tanzanian material. Moderate-heavy natural inclusions are present (visible in close examination as internal veiling) but the deep colour saturation partially compensates. The diamond-by-the-yard chain adds six bezel-set diamonds at intervals along the 45.5cm cable link, elevating the presentation beyond a standard chain.
