Description

An impressive cocktail ring centred on a 10.84 carat oval morganite - a large, eye-clean stone with a delicate pale pink colour that makes the most of the rose gold setting surrounding it. The morganite is transparent with excellent faceting and no inclusions visible to the naked eye, which at this weight is a genuinely good result.


The design framing the stone is noteworthy. Six round pink sapphires in strong medium pink are positioned at the points of a star-shaped outer frame, creating a starburst silhouette. Between each sapphire point, curves of pavé-set diamonds in F-G colour and VS2 clarity trace the frame outline. The six pink sapphires are independently confirmed by the valuation certificate as nil treatment observed, which is relatively uncommon in commercial sapphire jewellery.


From the rear, the gallery reveals an elaborate lotus-petal openwork design - decorative curved petals of rose gold creating an ornamental crown beneath the stone. This is the kind of gallery work that distinguishes a properly made piece from mass production. At 8.605 grams, the material value of the gold alone is meaningful. Condition independently graded excellent with a lotus-bottom openwork gallery fully intact and clean.
