Overview
The X100 Jaguar XKR is the performance flagship of the XK8 generation, powered by the factory supercharged 4.0-litre AJ-V8 producing approximately 370 horsepower. It is a proper grand tourer in the British tradition, combining hand-assembled luxury with genuine straight-line performance and a V8 exhaust note that rewards every press of the throttle. This particular example was built in January 2000, recently complied for Australian roads with compliance date July 2026, and carries 121,068 kilometres on the clock, modest for its age.
Outside, Midnight Blue is one of the best colours available on the XKR and the deep metallic paint shows well on the graceful body. Panel alignment is straight and even throughout. The bonnet features the characteristic XKR power bulge with twin louvred vents. Factory Revolver 5-spoke alloys in silver with Jaguar red centre caps are present on all four corners with Continental tyres, one wheel showing light kerb rash on the front passenger side. The boot lid and rear carry correct XKR and Jaguar badging, and dual chrome exhaust tips sit neatly beneath the rear bumper.
Condition Note - Roof: The roof and a portion of the boot lid have sustained substantial clear coat failure with significant areas of flaking and delamination visible. This is clearly documented in the photos and bidders should factor this into their planning. All other body panels present with good gloss and no evidence of panel damage or repair.
The cabin is trimmed in cream leather with quilted insert panels on the front seats, creating a classic and elegant interior. Burr walnut veneer runs across the dashboard fascia, centre console, door card inserts, and steering wheel rim, complementing the XKR-specific leather-wrapped steering wheel with leaping Jaguar horn badge. The instrument cluster uses dark-faced analogue gauges with teal backlighting behind a burr walnut binnacle. Climate control, power windows, and cruise control are all fitted.
A factory Jaguar DVD Route Guidance Navigation System is fitted, with the DVD drive unit mounted in the driver's side centre console area and displaying through the flip-up TFT screen in the dashboard. A factory 6-disc Jaguar CD changer is also present, mounted alongside the DVD navigation brain in the boot. Climate control operates through the centre stack. Beneath the passenger seat, a Pioneer HDD unit has been added. The rear cabin offers a practical 2-seat layout with dedicated headrests and seatbelts, and the boot floor is carpeted in dark grey with the factory entertainment units neatly integrated.
The 4.0-litre supercharged AJ-V8 sits prominently under the bonnet with the factory "JAGUAR" script in red on the cam cover and "SUPERCHARGED" and "V8" badging prominently displayed. The engine bay is used but complete, all plumbing and components are present and original.
