The MG Midget is one of Britain's best-loved lightweight sports cars, and this 1978 example is a final-year production model. The 1278 is the last of the Midget line, built at Abingdon before the factory closed in 1980, and that makes it part of a chapter that enthusiasts genuinely care about.
